The club was founded in 1974. The Blue Knights is a worldwide organization with approximately 19,000 members in 650 Chapters defined by geographical designations known as Conferences. There ae 11 Conferences in 29 countries worldwide.

♦ In the continental United States there are 9 Conferences. The state of Georgia is within the Southern Regional Conference, also known as the SRC. Other states in the SRC are Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and South Carolina. There are 20 active Blue Knights Chapters in the state of Georgia. Typically, Chapters are defined by Roman numerals (e.g., III, V, XI, XIX). Georgia has two State Representatives (State Reps) to the SRC and Blue Knights International.

♦ The purpose of this website, BlueKnightsGa.org is to be a source of information and communication for Georgia Chapter Members, Chapter Presidents and State Reps. As well, the website can be a recruitment tool and resource for potential new members. The website provides an opportunity to announce and promote rides, raffles and Chapter events. The concept is that each Georgia Chapter will have its own dedicated web page and sub-pages within the website. These pages can include items such as Chapter contact information, demographics, links to the Chapter website and social media pages, a photo gallery, member roster, etc.

♦ This website was developed in April 2016 by Mike Shockley.  Shockley is the North Georgia State Rep and President of Georgia Cheaper XI.  While currently this website may not have animations, heavy graphics, audio or video, it is optimized for use on modern day communication devices such as smartphones and tablets. This website should be considered a DRAFT until it is approved by the State Reps and Chapter Presidents. Many areas of this website are still under construction. Future enhancements may include a Blog or Forum, a Members Only Area, interactive Event Calendar, and a searchable Membership Database. Your comments and feedback, good or bad, are appreciated.
